But acrylic coasters do much more in today\u2019s homes. They are clear, light, and surprisingly strong. You can put them under cups, of course. But I also use them under small flower pots to protect tables from dirt. Some of my friends place them under hot mugs \u2014 acrylic handles heat better than you think.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">What I really like is how they fit any style without shouting. Wood or ceramic coasters can feel too traditional or heavy. Acrylic ones just blend in. You can slide a few under a desk lamp to stop scratches, or use one as a tiny tray for keys and coins near the door. They even work as a clean surface for wet toothbrushes in the bathroom \u2014 no one expects that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">To me, the best part is you can buy a set for very little money, yet they last for years. They don\u2019t break when dropped. And if they look dusty, a quick rinse brings them back.
